Funkcija
urediOvaj gen je član porodice gena VAV. VAV proteini su faktori izmjene guaninskih nukleotida (GEF) za porodice Rho GTPaza, koji aktiviraju puteve do preuređivanja aktinskih citoskeleta i transkripcijskih promjena. Ovaj genski proizvod djeluje kao GEF prvenstveno za RhoG, RhoA, I u manjoj mjeri, RAC1, i maksimalno se povezuje sa beznukleotidnim stanjima ovih GTPaza. Za ovaj gen su opisane alternativno prerađene varijante transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme.[5]
