POLR3K
Podjedinica RPC10 DNK-usmjerene RNK-polymeraze III je enzim kojimje kod ljudi kodiran genom POLR3K.[5][6][7]
Chedin et al. (1998) mapirali su ljudski gen POLR3K na hromosomu 16, anallizoom genomske sekvence.[8] Stumpf (2021) mapirao je gen POLR3K na hromosomsku regiju 16p13.3, na osnovu poravnavanja sekvence POLR3K-a (GenBank BC011932) sa genomskom sekvencom (GRCh38).[9]
Ovaj gen kodira malu esencijalnu podjedinicu RNK-polimeraze III, polimeraze odgovorne za sintezu transfernih i malih ribosomskih RNK u eukariota.
Karboksi-terminalni domen ove podjedinice ima visok stepen sličnosti sekvence sa karboksi-terminalnim domenom faktora elongacije RNK-polimeraze II. Ovu sličnost u sekvenci potkrepljuju funkcionalne studije koje pokazuju da je potrebna za pravilno zaustavljanje i prekid tokom transkripcije.[7]
