LCMT2
Leucin-karboksil metiltransferaza 2 je enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom LCMT2.[5][6][7]
Protein koji je kodiran ovim genom bez introna pripada superporodici metiltransferaza i djeluje kao regulator kontrolne tačke G(1)/S i G(2)/M. Pretpostavlja se da oksidativni stres izazvan dimom cigareta i transformirajući faktor rasta beta 1 mogu inhibirati ćelijsku proliferaciju, modulirajući ekspresiju ovog proteina.[7]
Hibridnom analizom zračenja, Nagase et al. (1998) mapirali su gen LCMT2 na hromosom 4. Međutim, Hartz (2013) ga je mapirala je na hromosom 15, sekvenca q15.3, a na osnovu poravnanja sekvence LCMT2 (GenBank AF265443) sa genomskom sekvencom (GRCh37).[8][9]

Kloniranje i ekspresija
urediSekvenciranjem klonova dobijenih iz biblioteke moždane cDNK Nagase et al. (1998) klonirali su LCMT2, koji su označili KIAA0547. Transkript sadrži nekoliko ponavljajućih elemenata u svom 3-baznom UTR-u, a izvedeni protein sadrži 686 aminokiselina. RT-PCR je detektirao ekspresiju LCMT2 samo u bubrezima. In vitro translatirani LCMT3 imao je prividnu molekulsku masu od 61 kD, pomoću SDS-PAGE.
