Mutacija gena CACNB2 povezana je sa Brugadainovim sindromom, autizmom, poremećajem pažnje i hiperaktivnosti (ADHD), bipolarnim poremećajem, veliki mdepresivnim poremećajem i shizofrenijom.[8]
