Funkcija uredi

ABL2 je citoplazmatska tirozin-kinaza koja je blisko povezana, ali se razlikuje od ABL1. Sličnost proteina uključuje domene tirozin-kinaze i proširuje se na amino-terminal da uključi SH2 i SH3 domene. ABL2 se eksprimira u normalnim i tumorskim ćelijama. Ekspresija ABL2 gena je veća kod KRAS mutantnog karcinoma pluća nemalih ćelija.[8] ABL2 genski proizvod izražen je kao dvije varijante koje nose različite amino terminale, oba duga približno po 12-kb.[6]

Interakcije uredi

Pokazalo se da ABL2 ima interakcije sa tri proteina: Abl gen,[9] Kagtalazom,[10] i SORBS2.[11] Protein Abl gena je također poznat kao homolog 1 virusnog onkogena Abelsonove mišje leukemije i protein je koji je kodiran ljudskim ABL1 genom.[12] Katalaza je uobičajen enzim koji katalizira razgradnju vodik-peroksida do vode i kisik a.[13] SORBS2 je također poznat kao sorbin i protein 2 koji sadrži domen SH3 i protein je kod ljudi kodiran genom SORBS2.[6][11][14]
