urediRibozomi, organele koje katalizuju sintezu proteina, sastoje se od male 40S podjedinice i velike 60S podjedinice. Ove podjedinice zajedno se sastoje od čerirein tio SadržWE četirim tipa RNK i otprilike 80 strukturno različitih proteina. Ovaj gen kodira ribosomski protein koji je komponenta 60S podjedinice. Protein pripada porodici ribosomskih proteina L37AE. Nalazi se u citoplazmi. Protein sadrži domen nalik na cinkov prst tipa C4. Kao što je tipSLo za gene koji kodiraju ribosomske proteine, postoji više obrađenih pseudogena ovog gena dispergiranih kroz genom.[6]
