Stromelizin-3 (SL-3), znan i kao matriksna metaloproteinaza-11 (MMP-11) jest enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom MMP11 sa hromosoma 22.[4][5][6][7]

Funkcija
urediProteini iz porodice matriksnih metaloproteinaza (MMP) uključeni su u razgradnju vanćelijskog matriksa u normalnim fiziološkim procesima, kao što su embrionski razvoj, reprodukcija i remodeliranje tkiva, kao i u procesima bolesti , kao što su artritis i metastaze. Većina MMP izlučuje se kao neaktivni proprotein koji se aktiviraju kada ih cijepaju vanćelijske proteinaze. Međutim, enzim koji je kodiran ovim genom aktivira se unutarćelijski pomoću furina unutar konstitutivnog sekretornog puta. Također, za razliku od drugih MMP, ovaj enzim cijepa alfa inhibitor 1-proteinaza, ali slabo razgrađuje strukturne proteine vanćelijskog matriksa.[7]
