Funkcija
urediOvaj gen kodira jedan od dva endoplazmatskoretikulimska rezidentna transmembranska tipa II glikoziltransferaza – drugi je EXT2 – koji su uključeni u korak biosinteze elongacije lanca heparan-sulfata. Mutacije u ovom genu uzrokuju oblik I tipa višestruke egzostoze.[5]
