DDX39
ATP-ovisna RNK helikaza DDX39 je enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom DDX39.[5][6]
Ovaj gen kodira člana porodice DEAD boksa proteina. Ovi proteini su karakterizirani konzerviranim motivom Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) i predstavljaju pretpostavljenu RNK helikazu. Uključeni u brojne ćelijske procese koji obuhvataju izmjenu sekundarne strukture RNK, kao što su inicijacija translacije, prerada jedarnog i mitohondrijskog transkripta i ribosoma i splajsosoma. Na osnovu njihovih obrazaca distribucije, vjeruje se da su neki članovi porodice proteinskih boksova DEAD uključeni u embriogenezu, spermatogenezu, rast i diobu ćelija.[6]
