Funkcija
urediKarbonil reduktaza 3 katalizira redukciju velikog broja biološki i farmakološki aktivnih karbonil spojeva u njihove odgovarajuće alkohole. Enzim je klasifikovan kao monomerna NADPH-zavisna oksidoreduktaza. CBR3 sadrži tri egzona koji se protežu na 11,2 kilobaza i usko je povezan sa drugim genom karbonil reduktaze - CBR1.[7]
