Tip B antigena Sjögrenovog sindroma (SS-B) znan i kao lupusni La protein jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom SSB sa hromosoma 2.[5]

Funkcija
urediLa je uključen u različite aspekte metabolizma RNK, uključujući vezivanje i zaštitu 3-prim UUU (OH) elemenata nove RNK-polimeraze III-transkribirane RNK, prerađivanje 5' i 3' krajeva prekursora pre-tRNK, djeluje kao RNK šaperon i vezuje virusne RNK, povezane s virusom hepatitisa C. La protein je prvobitno definiran njegovom reaktivnošću sa autoantitelima pacijenata sa Sjögrenovim sindromom i sistemskim eritemskim lupusom.[5][7]
