NLRC5, skraćeno od NOD-liki receptor poreodice CARD domena sa proteinom 5, je unutarćelijski protein koji ima ulogu u imunskom sistemu. NLRC5 je receptor prepoznavanja uzoraka uključen u urođeni imunski sistem na viruse, potencijalno regulacijom aktivnosti interferona. To jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom sa q kraka hromosoma 16.[5][6][7]

Funkcija

Nedavno je sugerisano da NLRC5 ima pozitivnu ulogu u regulaciji ekspresije molekula MHC klase I glavnog komleksa iistokompatibilnosti (MHCI).[8] Ovaj aspekt funkcije NLRC5 dalje je istražen uz pomoć Nlrc5-deficitarnih miševa, koji je pokazao smanjenu ekspresiju MHCI u limfocitima (posebno T, NK i NKT limfocitima).[9] U limfocitima, NLRC5 se nalazi u na jedru i pokreće ekspresiju gena MHCI, zauzimanjem H-2D i H-2K genskih promotora.[9]

Kod ljudi, NLRC5 protein je kodiran "NLRC5" genom.[10] Također je nazvan i kao NOD27, NOD4 i CLR16.1.
