Kodirani protein sadrži upredene domene i konzervirasni domen AAA, karakterističan za ATPaze povezane sa različitim ćelijskim aktivnostima. Ovaj gen sličan je unc-53, genu Caenorhabditis elegans , koji je uključen u navigaciju aksona . Tačna funkcija ovog gena nije poznata.[ 7]
