Uskospojni protein beta-3 (GJB3), znan i kao koneksin 31 (Cx31) — jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom GJB3 sa hromosoma 1.[5][6][7]

Funkcija
urediOvaj gen je član porodice koneksinskih gena. Kodirani protein je komponenta uskih spojeva, koji se sastoje od niza međućelijskih kanala koji obezbjeđuju put za difuziju materijala male molekulske težine od ćelije do ćelije. Mutacije ovog gena mogu uzrokovati nesindromsku gluhoću ili kožni poremećaj zvani erythrokeratodermia variabilis. Alternativna prerada rezultira višestrukim varijantama transkripta koje kodiraju isti protein.[7]
