Funkcija

aOvaj gen je identificiran kao gen koji reaguje na estrogen. Regulacija transkripcije estrogenom posredovana je estrogenim receptorom koji se veže za element osjetljiv na estrogen (ERE) u 5'-bočnoj regiji ovog gena. Kodirani protein je tumor-vezani antigen koji se eksprimira velikom frekvencijom u različitim karcinomima. Za ovaj gen su identificirane dvije varijante transkripta koje se razlikuju po 5 'UTR, ali kodiraju isti protein.
