Funkcija
urediOvaj gen kodira jedan od dva enzima koji kataliziraju konačnu reakciju u sintezi triglicerida, u kojoj je diacilglicerol kovalentno vezan za masu dugog lanca acil-CoAs.
Kodirani protein katalizira ovu reakciju pri niskim koncentracijama magnezij-hlorida, dok drugi enzim ima visoku aktivnost pri visokim koncentracijama magnezij-hlorida. Za ovaj gen je pronađeno više varijanti transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme.
