Funkcija
urediCDC42 je član porodice Rho GTPaza koji reguliše višestruke ćelijske aktivnosti, uključujući polimerizaciju aktina. Protein kodiran ovim genom je CDC42 vezujući protein koji posreduje reorganizaciju aktinskog citoskeleta na plazmamembranama. Kodirani protein, koji se luči, prvenstveno se nalazi u koštanoj srži. Za ovaj gen su pronađene dvije varijante transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme.[7]
