Funkcija

Specifična funkcija ACTR2 još nije utvrđena. Međutim, poznato je da je glavni sastojak ARP2/3- kompleksa. Ovaj kompleks nalazi se na površini ćelije i neophodan je za oblik ćelije i pokretljivost kroz lamelipodijski aktinski sklop i izbočenje. Za ovaj genro, pnađene su dvije varijante transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme.[7]
