Funkcija uredi

Kod ljudi, Unc93A je glavna poroduca facilitatora (MFS) i navodna porodica rastvornih nosača.[7][8] Pripada atipskim SL-ovima koji su nedavno opisani.[7] Stoga se pretpostavlja da je UNC93A proteinski transporter.

Blisko je srodan sa UNC93B1 i MFSD11.[9][10]

Na UNC93A utiče nedostatak aminokiselina u kulturama korteknih ćelija[8][9] i u izgladnjivanju u uvjetima in vivo.[9]

Eksprimira se u neuronima, sa bojenjem blizu plazmamembrane.[9]
