Funkcija

Proteoliza pomoću ubikvitin-proteasomskog sistema kontrolira koncentraciju mnogih regulatornih proteina. Selektivnost ubikvitilacija određena je ubikvitinskim E3-ligazama, koje prepoznaju signal destabilizacije supstrata, ili degron. E3-ligaza UBR2 učestvuje na putu N-kraja, koji cilja na proteine koji nose N-terminalni degron ili N-degron (Kwon et al., 2003; prema OMIM-u.)[5]
