Protein kodiran ovim genom može funkcionirati kao protein koji veže DNK. Mutacije u ovom genu povezane su s preeklampsijom/eklampsijom 4 (PEE4). Za ovaj gen pronađene su alternativno prerađene varijante transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme (prema RefSeq, Sep 2009).
