Funkcija
urediSplajsing pre-iRNK događa se u dva uzastopna transesterifikacijska koraka. Protein kodiran ovim genom je faktor prerade, za koji je utvrđeno da je neophodan tokom drugog katalitskog koraka u procesu prerade pre-iRNK. Povezuje se sa splajsosomom i sadrži motiv cinkovog zgloba, koji se nalazi u drugim faktorima splajsinga i uključen je u interakcije protein-proteini protein-nukleinske kiseline.[7]
