RPL27A
Podjedinica 60S ribosomskog proteina L27a je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom RPL27A.[5][6][7]
Ribosomi, organele koje kataliziraju sintezu proteina, sastoje se od male 40S i velike 60S podjedinice. Ove podjedinice zajedno se sastoje od četiri tipa RNK i približno 80 strukturno različitih proteina. Ovaj gen kodira ribosomni protein koji je komponenta podjedinice 60S. Ovaj protein pripada porodici L15P ribosomnih proteina. Nalazi se u citoplazmi. Uočena je varijabilna ekspresija ovog gena u kolorekttumskom karcinomu u poređenju sa susjednim normalnim tkivima, iako nije pronađena korelacija između nivoa ekspresije i težine bolesti. Kao što je tipski za gene koji kodiraju ribosomske proteine, više obrađenih pseudogena izvedenih iz ovog gena raspršeno je širom genoma.[7]
