OLFM1
Olfaktomedin 1, znan i kao noelin 1 ili pankortin, je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom OLFM1.[5][6] The name noelin stands for "neuronal olfactomedin-related endoplasmic reticulum-localized 1".[7]

Funkcija
urediOvaj genski proizvod ima veliku sličnost sekvence sa proteinom pacovskih neuronskih olfaktomedina povezanih sa proteinom u endoplazamatskom retikulumu (ER). Iako tačna funkcija kodiranog proteina nije poznata, njegova obilna ekspresija u mozgu sugerira da može imati bitnu ulogu u živčanom tkivu. Za ovaj gen pronađeno je nekoliko alternativno prerađenih transkripata koji kodiraju različite izoforme.[6]
Kancer
urediOtkriveno je da gen OLFM1 progresivno aktivan u papiloma virus-pozitivanim neoplazmatskim keratinocitima izvedenim iz cerviksa materice preneoplazijske lezije na različitim nivoima malignosti.[9] Zato je ovaj gen vjerovatno povezan s tumorigenezom i može biti potencijalni prognostički marker za napredovanje raka cerviksa maternice preneoplazijske lezije.[9]
