Nukleotidnovezujući protein 1 sa domenom oligomerizacije (NOD1) jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom NOD1 sa p kraka hromosoma 7.[5][6] Prepoznaje bakterijske molekule i stimulira imunsku reakciju.[7]

Funkcija uredi

NOD1 protein sadrži domen regrutacije kaspaze (CARD). NOD1 je član porodice proteina nodolikih receptota i blizak je srodnik NOD2. NOD1 je unutarćrlijski receptor prepoznavanja uzoraka, koji je po strukturi sličan otpornim proteinima biljaka, i posreduje urođeni i stečeni imunitet, prepoznavanjem molekula koji sadrže dio D-glutamil-mezo-diaminopimelne kiseline (iE-DAP), uključujući bakterijski peptidoglikan. Nod1 stupa u interakciju sa RIPK2 preko Card domen|CARD-a]] obiju molekula (Pogledajte strukturu NOD1 CARD na desnom panelu). Stimulacija NOD1 molekulama koji sadrže iE-DAP rezultira aktivacijom faktora transkripcije NF-κB.
