Struktura
urediMSTO1 gen ima 5134 para baza (lociranih u hromosomu 1), a MSTO1 protein je dug 570 aminokiselina. Nalazi se u vanjskoj membrani mitohondrija i uključen je u regulaciju mitohondrijske distribucije i morfologije.[8]
Protein misato sadrži N-terminalni miozinski domen sličan misato segmentu II i centralni domen tubulina.[8]
