tRNK (guanin-N(7)-)-metiltransferaza je enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom METTL1.[5][6]
Ovaj gen sličan je genu YDL201w Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Proizvod ovog gena sadrži konzervirani S-adenozil-metionin-vezujući motiv i inaktivira se putem fosforilacije. Alternativno prerađene varijante kodiraju različite izoforme primjenjujućih alternativnih mjesta polyA koja su opisana u literaturi.[6]
