Funkcija
urediProtein kodiran ovim genom je strukturno vrlo sličan proteinu CDC46 iz S. cerevisiae, uključenom u inicijaciju replikacije DNK. Kodirani protein je član porodice proteina MCM koji se vezuju za hromatin i može komunicirati sa najmanje dva druga člana ove porodice. Kodirani protein se pojačava u tranziciji iz G0 u G1/S fazu ćelijskog ciklusa i može aktivno učestvovati u regulaciji ćelijskog ciklusa.[7]
