Funkcija
urediOvaj gen kodira ljudsku hipofiznu glutaminil ciklazu, koja je odgovorna za prisustvo piroglutamil ostataka u mnogim neuroendokrinim peptidima. Aminokiselinska sekvenca ovog enzima je 86% identična onoj goveđe glutaminil-ciklaze.[6]
