Funkcija
urediGlutamin-fruktoza-6-fosfat transaminaza 1 je prvi enzim koji ograničava brzinu heksozaminskog puta. GFAT kontrolira protok glukoze u heksozaminskom putu i katalizira stvaranje glukozamin 6-fosfata.[6]
