Funkcija
urediOvaj gen kodira člana natporodice enzima citohroma P450. Proteini citokroma P450 su monooksigenaze koje katalizirju mnoge reakcije uključene u metabolizam lijekova i sintezu holesterola, steroida i ostalih lipida. Ovaj protein se lokalizira u endoplazmatski retikulum. Kod glodara se pokazalo da homologni protein metabolizira određene karcinogene; međutim, specifična funkcija ljudskog proteina nije utvrđena.[5]
