Funkcija
urediProteini kodirani genimaa porodice kompleksin/sinafin su citosolni proteini koji funkcioniraju u egzocitozi sinapsnih vezikula. Ovi proteini vežu sintaksin, dio SNAP receptora. Proteinski proizvod ovog gena veže se za kompleks receptora SNAP -a i ometa ga, omogućavajući oslobađanje predajnika. Za ovaj gen pronađene su dvije varijante transkripta koje kodiraju isti protein.[7]
