Modelni organizmi

U proučavanju funkcije TCP11 korišteni su i modelni organizmi. Uslovna linija nokaut-miševa pod zvana Tcp11tm1a(EUCOMM)Wtsi generirana je u Institutu Wellcome Trust Sanger.[9] Mužjaci i ženke podvrgnuti su standardiziranom fenotipskom pregledu 26 odabranih svojstava[10] za otkrivanje efekata delecija.[11][12][13][14] Dodatni pregledi obavljeni su dubokim imunološkim fenotipiziranjem, pri čemu nije uočena bilo koja nenormalnost.[15]
