Foča

uredi

Hello

I'm not sure that you speak Bosnian so I'll write in English instead.

I've noticed that you asked for removal of block on article about Foča. That article has been subject to tremendous amounts of reversals and vandalisms. That it is the main reason that it has been locked. What do you want to change in that article? I would sugget that you give an explanation on discussion page (complete with references). In case that there are no objections and all references are valid I'll unlock article for you.

Hi Emir, you can write in Bosnian as I understand it quite well, though it's obviously easier for me to reply in English ;-) Just wasn't sure about the correct wording - I should probably have asked for oslobođenje instead of deblokiranje, right?
What I'd like to do in the article? Add some pre-1992 history, mainly. Add references. Move some of the wartime history to a separate article, unless that's really too controversial. Add links to the faculties and NP Sutjeska, as suggested on the discussion page by various users.
It's completely clear that frequent vandalism - and especially Serb nationalist vandalism - was the reason for the full protection, and I suspect that semi-protection would still be appropriate. Nevertheless, there are probably quite a few people who would like to expand the article, and if semi-protection works well enough for Rat u Bosni i Hercegovini, then why couldn't it work for Foča? (and, for heaven's sake, Republika Srpska - this article has no references at all. Full protection in the current version is rather contrary to fundamental principles of Wikipedia, I think.)
Well, I guess that won't be enough for you to remove/reduce the protection. Perhaps I'll put down some concrete changes, but it's going to take me way more time than a native speaker.

Hi again,

I'm not on wikipedia every day, thus I haven't been able to answer before. I have removed protection. All controversial changes have to first gain approval on discussion page and contain valid references (In case of latest war, verdicts in courts, especially international ones are prefered over all other sources).

Currently my suggestion is not to make any changes to the part of history that explains what happened in Foca during last war. That part is well referenced and has already gained approval by the community. Changes on links, Sutjeska and stuff like that are not that controversial and can be done without any discussion.

My goal in the future is to actually do remake of all municipalities pages so that there are clear rules on what should be there and what should not be there (imo there is no need for listing etnicity every ten years and stuff like that).

Btw "deblokiranje" is correct word (although loan word from english). "Oslobodjenje" means "to liberate" or "liberation" and you can not liberate web page. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Hvala na razumijevanju, Emire. I'm not going to touch the wartime section as it is indeed well referenced, although there already exists - as I've noticed in the meantime - a separate article Zločini u Foči which was actually copied from the city article by the original author (Emir Kotromanić). Besides, my main concern is the lack of information on pre-war history rather than anything that is currently included but possibly redundant. Regards --20percent 17:55, 21 maj 2008 (CEST)Odgovori
