Uvod u Wikipediju

Cases (language) uredi

Chiaro Discanto, our language has seven cases, unlike Italian (and other Romance languages). So, please, do not make new categories before consulting with us because you can easily make some mistake (like you did tonight), and then we have to clean everything up. – KWiki (razgovor) 01:25, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori

Ciao @KWiki:. I'm sorry if I made mistakes. A few days ago I asked if my entries were correct and today I based myself on the user's corrections, thinking it was correct. However, apart from the cancellations, I can fix the remaining corrections if you give me 1 or 2 checks. -- Discanto (razgovor) 01:34, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
It is about the names of categories. For example, it should be "Kategorija:Provincije u Italiji" (locative case for feminine singular) or "Kategorija:Provincije na Sardiniji" (Sardinia is an island, so we use "na" /= "on"/ instead of "u" /= "in"/, except for Japan, Indonesia, Ireland, and Bahrein). The mistakes in the names of templates are less important, except in the titles shown on screen. – KWiki (razgovor) 01:46, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
Also, "općina" is nominative case for singular (like "abetina", for example); you should use "općine" (like "abetine") in the names of templates (when there are more of them). And why did you remove the category "Regije u Italiji" from the respective articles? Some new administrative division or something else? They are not (called) regions anymore officially? – KWiki (razgovor) 02:06, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
@KWiki:. Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately it is not so easy and I ask you for a little patience. However I don't have to do other operations with the categories: I only needed those I created to order the municipalities of Sardinia. I would like to know: besides Kategorija:Provincije u Italija to be moved to Kategorija:Provincije u Italiji and Kategorija:Provincije u Sardinija to be moved to Kategorija:Provincije na Sardiniji, the others (Kategorija:Općine u provinciji Sassari) are correct? --Discanto (razgovor) 02:08, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
@KWiki: I removed the category from the respective article because this in turn is part of a category and it is the latter that must be there. To be simple: the article Sardinija is compliant in the Kategorija:Sardinija, so it is only the category and not the article that must be in the Kategorija:Regije u Italiji. --Discanto (razgovor) 02:20, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
There is "Kategorija:Općine u Sardinija" -> "...Općine na Sardiniji" and "...Općine u Italija" -> "...Općine u Italiji". Then, "Sud Sardegna" can be translated to "Južna Sardinija" (but it is not obligatory – it can stay as it is until further notice). – KWiki (razgovor) 02:31, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
@KWiki: Ok. If you want to be so kind, when you have time, at least check this article for both grammar and readability. Based on your eventual corrections, I will continue with the same model. I would also like to be sure that Kategorija:Općine u provinciji Sassari is correct and also is correct the title of the template Šablon:Općine u provinciji Sassari.
Checked. But the article is too short and we have almost completed a project of deleting (mostly) or saving / expanding such articles just recently (there was over a thousand of them), so new short articles are not desirable thing – small Wiki with small number of active users but lot of job to do :-) (of course, there is still a lot of short articles for which there is simply no material available, so they stand as they are). – KWiki (razgovor) 03:34, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
@KWiki: I unfortunately don't know the language so I can only contribute with numbers and small sentences and, as you understand, it is impossible for me to write more without making mistakes. My intention would be to first include the municipalities of Sardinia and then the rest of Italy. But if you think that this work is not useful because of the shortness of the articles, then momentarily I stop. I kindly ask you to evaluate yourself and the community of what I would like to do and if it is decided that it is not good, I will stop for good. --Discanto (razgovor) 04:02, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori

It remains clear that I am only interested in doing a good job. Thanks for collaboration. – Discanto (razgovor) 02:44, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
Naturalmente che si, it is beyond any doubt. :-) [I can understand a bit of Italian because I learned Latin for two years (and French for four years), and I have a pocket-size dictionary (about 15.000 words with short grammar) and a tourist manual for everyday situations, but making sentences is quite another thing. :-) ] – KWiki (razgovor) 03:34, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
@KWiki: Well, if you have studied a little Latin it is much easier for you to understand Sardinian (than the one spoken in central Sardinia is almost pure Latin) than Italian! --Discanto (razgovor) 04:00, 18 maj 2019 (CEST)Odgovori
