ZNF23
Cinkoprstni protein 23 je protein koji j kod ljudi kodiran genom ZNF23 .[5]
Kloniranje i ekspresija
urediZhou et al. (2002) klonirali ZNF359 iz cDNK biblioteke ljudskog srca. Izvedeni protein sadrži motive KRAB A i KRAB B na N-kraju i 16 tandemski ponovljenih motiva cinkovi prstiju tipa kruppel na C-kraju. Northern blot analiza otkrila je ekspresiju transkripta od 3,2 kb u različitim tkivima odraslih, sa najvećom ekspresijom u skeletnim mišićima, srcu, jetri i gušterači. Dalje analize u embrionskim tkivima (18-23 sedmice) pokazale su razvojno specifični obrazac ekspresije u srcu, skeletnim mišićima, jetri, plućima, bubrezima i mozgu.[6]
Mapiranje
urediCannizzaro et al. (1993) mapirali su člana porodice KOX gena, ZNF23 (KOX16), na hromosomu 16, lokus q22, hibridizacijom in situ.[7]
Mapna lokacija nalazi se u blizini dva osjetljiva mjesta, FRA16B i FRA16C. Regija 16q22 je, osim toga, uključena u hromosomske promjene karakteristične za akutnu mijeloidnu leukemiju. Gen ZNF19 nalazi se u istoj regiji. Analogni mišji geni u su na hromosomu 8 u regiji sintetske homologije. Pokusima elektroforeze u impulsnom polju, Rousseau-Merck et al. (1993) pokazali su da se geni ZNF19 i ZNF23 nalaze unutar fragmenta DNK od 200–300 kb.[8]
