Myrothamnus
Myrothamnus je mali rod u zasebnoj porodici Myrothamnaceae, cvjetnica u redu Gunnerales, razred Magnoliopsida, divizija Tracheophyta, carstvo Plantae.[1]

U Cronquistovom sistemu, Myrothamnaceae je uključena u red Hamamelidales.[2]
Sistematske studije na molekulskoj razini, međutim, sugeriraju da Myrothamnus nije usko povezan sa Hamamelidaceae, niti bilo kojom drugom porodicom koja je uključena u tu porodivu, već je usko srodan sa rodom Gunnera. U APG II sistemu (2003), rod je uključen u porodicu Gunneraceae ili neobavezno priznatu posebnu porodicu Myrothamnaceae. [3] U APG III (2009) i APG IV sistemu (2016) poželjno je uže obuhvatanje, a ove dvije porodice smatraju se različitim.[4][5]
Ovaj rod kserofitskih grmova ima dvije priznate vrste u Africi, uključujući i Madagaskar.[6]
