Natriuretski prekursorni peptid C

Naturiuretski prekursorni peptid C ili prekursorni natriuretski peptid C, poznat i kao NPPC, je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom NPPC.[5][6][7] Prekursorski NPPC protein se cijepa na 22 aminokiselinski peptid natriuretski peptid tipa C (CNP).

Funkcija

Natriuretski peptidi čine porodicu od tri strukturno srodne molekule: pretkomorski (ANP), komorski (BNP) i C-tip natriuretskog peptida (CNP), kodiranih genom koga simbolizira skraćenica NPPC. Ovi peptidi imaju snažne natriuretske, diuretske i vazodilatacijske aktivnosti i uključeni su u homeostazu tjelesne tečnosti i kontrolu krvnog pritiska. Za razliku od ANP i BNP, CNP nema direktnu natriuretsku aktivnost. To je zato što je CNP selektivni agonist za natriuretski receptor B-tipa (NPRB), dok su ANP i BNP selektivni za natriuretski receptor A-tipa (NPRA).[8] It is synthesized and secreted from the endothelium in response to many stimuli, for example shear stress (like NO) and certain proinflammatory cytokines.[9]
