Aktivnost-ovisni neuroreceptorski homeoboks je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom ADNP.[5]
Funkcija
urediVasoaktivni crijevni peptid je neuroprotektivni faktor koji stimulira rast nekih tumorskih ćelijas, a inhibitorni druge. Ovaj gen kodira protein koji je pojačan vazoaktivnim intestinalnim peptidom i može biti uključen u njegov stimulativni učinak na određene tumorske ćelije. Kodirani protein sadrži jedan homeoboksni i devet domena cinkovog prsta, što sugerira da funkcionira kao faktor transkripcije. Ovaj gen je također reguliran u normalnim proliferativnim tkivima. Konačno, kodirani protein može povećati održivost određenih tipova ćelija, modulacijom aktivnosti p53. Opisane su alternativno prerađene varijante transkripta koje kodiraju isti protein.[5]
