SOS-kutija
SOS-kutija je regija u promotoru različitih gena za koje se LexA represor veže da potisne transkripciju proteina indukovanih SOS-om. Ovo se dešava u odsustvu oštećenja DNK. U prisustvu oštećenja DNK, vezivanje LexA je inaktivirano RecA aktivatorom. SOS kutije se razlikuju po DNK sekvencama i afinitetu vezivanja prema LexA od organizma do organizma.[1] Nadalje, SOS kutije mogu biti prisutne na dvostruki način, što ukazuje da više od jedne SOS kutije može biti unutar istog promotora.[2]
