78. dodjela Zlatnog globusa obilježiće najbolja ostvarenja u filmu i američkoj televiziji tokom 2020. godine, po izboru Udruženja holivudskih stranih novinara. Ceremonija će se održati 28. februara 2021. godine u hotelu The Beverly Hilton na Beverly Hillsu, Kalifornija, skoro dva mjeseca kasnije nego što je uobičajeno zbog negativnih posljedica pandemije COVID-19 na film i televiziju.

HFPA je objavila da odgađa ceremoniju 2021. sa svog uobičajenog datuma početkom januara na 28. februara, zbog utjecaja pandemije COVID-19 na filmsku i televizijsku produkciju.[1][2] U produkciji Dick Clark Productions i HFPA-e, ceremonija će se uživo prenositi iz hotela The Beverly Hilton na Beverly Hillsu, Kalifornija na TV mreži NBC u Sjedinjenim Državama. U januaru 2020. godineTina Fey i Amy Poehler najavljene su kao domaćini ceremonije, po četvrti put.[3]
