Estrogenu-srodni receptor gama (ERR-gama), znan i kao NR3B3 (član 3 jedarnih receptora potporodice 3, grupa B), jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom ESRRG sa hromosoma 1.[5][6][7] Ponaša se kao konstitutivni aktivator transkripcije.[8]

Funkcija uredi

Ovaj protein je član porodice jedarnih hormonskih receptora, steroidnih hormonskih receptora. Nije poznat fiziološki aktivirajući ligand za ovaj receptor siroče, ali 4-hidroksitamoksifen i dietilstilbestrol djeluju kao inverzni agonisti i deaktiviraju ESRRG.[10] Također se čini da je meta bisfenola A (vidi dolje).

Vezivanje bisfenola A uredi

Postoje dokazi da bisfenol A funkcioniše kao ksenoestrogen, tako što se snažno vezuje za ERR-γ.[8] BPA, kao i njegovi nitrirani i hlorirani metaboliti koji se snažno vezuju za ERR-γ (konstanta disocijacije = 5,5 nM), ali ne na estrogeni receptor (ERER).,[8][11] BPA vezivanje za ERR-γ čuva njegovu baznu konstitutivnu aktivnost.[8] Također ga može zaštititi od deaktivacije selektivnog modulatora estrogenih receptora 4-hidroksitamoksifena.[8]

Različita ekspresija ERR-γ u različitim dijelovima tijela može objasniti varijacije u efektima bisfenola A. Naprimjer, ERR-γ pronađen je u visokoj koncentraciji u placenti, što objašnjava izvještaje o visokoj akumulaciji bisfenola A u njoj.[12]
